Also thinking of picking up a dusty-motors chassis cover and some paddle tires for the winter but can't decide if I want to go with Traxxas paddles OR these Pro-Line's that are half ribbed/paddle for the front. Getting bummed about the snow coming in MN and want to do a bit more ripping/tweaking before I pick up a 1/28 to run indoors for my golden □. I've broken 2 and bent 1 so far and have went back to the 6851/2A's which are relatively cheap and I'm not bummed if they break. Not even sure why Traxxas is still selling them tbh. They used to be $10 cheaper than what comes on the XO-1's but now Traxxas has raised prices on quite a few parts and they're the same price. I've been wanting to gear down for more acceleration with the stock tires and/or tighten the slipper but man, these tires are something else.Īnother thing I might recommend against are the 6851/2R's drive-shafts. Accessory part for these models: E-Revo® VXL Brushless. Holy crap these tires literally RIP the grass up. GTR shocks are sold fully assembled in sets of four, complete with silicone oil. Traxxas Shocks, GTR Long Blue-Anodized, PTFE-Coated Bodies with TiN Shafts (fully assembled, without springs), (2): 7461. One thing I HIGHLY recommend after picking them up last night are the Badlands MX SC M2 MTD Impulse. Some standout features of the Slash 4×4 Ultimate include high-volume GTR shocks with adjustable-collar blue PTFE-coated aluminum bodies, a high-speed waterproof metal gear servo, all-new heavy-duty. Fully loaded out of the box, the Slash Ultimate features brutal Velineon ® brushless power and Traxxas Stability Management ® with a high-speed metal gear servo. Their progressive springs seem like trying out but I've also heard a lot of good things about VG racing springs.Īlso - what is everyone's favorite must-do upgrade? I know a ton of people recommend the upgraded motor mount with the over-sized bearing from Hot Racing and/or Traxxas. The Traxxas Slash 4×4 Ultimate truck is a high-performance short course truck loaded with powerful features. Experience the pinnacle of short course truck performance with the Slash 4X4 Ultimate. What's up everyone? What sort of springs is everyone running on their GTR Shocks? Traxxas springs seem fine but I'm always looking to play around.
